The 2015 Catholic Charities Annual Appeal actively begins in our Parish this weekend. I ask you to read over the insert with this weekend’s bulletin which explains the importance of Catholic Charities in our community.

This year’s appeal theme is: “Open your heart to live joyfully and generously!” Catholic Charities in our diocese continues to mission of Jesus by responding to those in need through an integrated system of quality services designed to respect the dignity of every person and build a just and compassionate society – a society that stands united in its support of the “least among us.”

Something wonderful happens when we unite ourselves through Christ with others. Each year, Catholic Charities impacts the lives of over 399,000 people from every suburb and city in Northeast Ohio. Its programs and services help to meet the daily needs of our most vulnerable brothers and sisters. Please consider a generous gift to the Catholic Charities 2015 Annual Appeal, and please pray for the success of this important Appeal.

As in the past, the in-pew commitment process will take place next weekend (February 14-15). All who have not received the mailing, or have not had a chance to respond to it, will be asked to consider making a generous pledge to support the ministries and services provided by Catholic Charities.

If you have received the mailing, please respond to it. Our parish goal is $11,856.00. For more information see: www.catholiccommunity.org/2015

REMEMBER IN YOUR PRAYERS

We ask you to remember in your prayers the soul of Eufemija Steponis who died last week and was buried from our Parish. May she have eternal rest in the peace of God’s kingdom.

EUCHARISTIC ADORATION

Friday, February 6th is the First Friday of the month. We will have our monthly Holy Hour an Friday beginning after the 7:30 Mass until 9:00am. All are invited to stop in for some quiet time of prayer in the presence of our Eucharistic Lord.

On Sunday, March 1st, we as a parish will celebrate the Feast of St. Casimir, patron saint of our Parish and of Lithuania. On Sunday, March 1st, we will celebrate one Mass (bilingual) for the entire Parish at 10:00am. For those unable to participate at this Mass, we will celebrate our Saturday evening Mass at 5:30pm.

After Mass, we invite everyone to our Upper Hall (gym), where brunch will be served. Tickets to the brunch and program will be available for sale next weekend: after the weekend Masses at the main entrance of the Church, in the Lower Hall after the 10:00 Mass and at the rectory during the week. Adult tickets are $10 and children 12 and under are free. Only 200 tickets are available, so we urge you to purchase them early.

We encourage everyone in the parish to come together to celebrate our heritage and our faith and share these gifts with each other.
