LAST WEEK
ALTAR
SOCIETY’S PLANT SALE
Next
Sunday, April 16th (Easter Sunday) is the last day to order
and pay for your spring flowers from the Altar Society’s annual fund-raising
sale. As the deadline approaches, consider making purchases for your planting
needs through the parish this year. The plants are high quality and your
purchases support the parish. Order forms and descriptive fliers are available
at the entrances to the Church. Return your order in the collection basket, drop
it off at the rectory or mail it back. Support your parish and beautify your
yard. It’s a win – win.
EASTER FLOWERS
The Altar Society relies on
your generosity to beautify the church at Easter with live flowers. Please
consider lending them a hand and making a donation. Use the envelope marked
“Easter Flowers” from your church envelope packet. Thank you.

MASS ON EASTER SUNDAY |
|
Today marks the beginning of the most solemn week of the Church year – Holy
Week. During this week we are called to remember and reflect on our Lord Jesus’
days of suffering, death and finally His Resurrection.
All of us are invited to walk with our Lord, from His triumphal entry into
Jerusalem which we remember today, His gift of Himself in the Eucharist at the
Last Supper on Holy Thursday, His trial, suffering and death on Good Friday, to
his Resurrection on Easter.
I invite everyone in the
Parish to participate in these special moments in Jesus’ life. Taking time
participate in these events serves to deepen our appreciation for the gift of
salvation, deepen our relationship with our Lord, and deepen our commitment to
be His followers.
God Bless! Fr. Joe Bacevice

OFFERING FOR
THE HOLY LAND
On Good
Friday, April 14th,
we will take up a collection to support the Holy Land. Money collected provides
support to maintain the sacred places in the Holy Land and provide for the needy
living there. Please be generous.
BLESSING OF
FOOD
One
of the most beloved traditions of many Eastern European cultures, including our
own, is the blessing of food for Easter. We have observed this tradition since
we opened at St. Casimir’s eight years ago, but it seems that each year fewer
people are coming for the blessing. This year, we again invite everyone in the
parish, especially our families with children to this annual blessing. Father
Bacevice and Deacon Pecek will conduct the blessing of food on Saturday,
April 15th, at 12:00 noon.
YOUR EASTER
OFFERING
Easter
has been a traditional time for parishioners to make an extra gift to the
Parish, and so we ask everyone to consider a substantial gift to the Parish this
Easter. Our income from parishioner donations continues to decrease each year
and we are facing some expensive repair projects this summer. So please be
generous with your Easter Offering.
