After
several weeks of searching
and negotiating, I am
pleased to announce that I
hired Ms. Roma Bandza as our
Music Director and Organist.
Ms.
Bandza has a Bachelor of
Arts degree in Organ and
Piano from the J. Gruodis
Music Academy in Kaunas
Lithuania, a Master of Arts
degree in Performing Arts
from the State Conservatory
of Lithuania in Vilnius, and
has had advanced training in
Choir Music, Voice, and
Organ Performance at
Cleveland State University
and the Cleveland Institute
of Music. She has many years
of experience in Liturgical
Music serving as music
director at four different
parishes in our diocese, one
parish in the Youngstown
Diocese and three Protestant
Churches.
In
addition to her work with
Church music, Ms. Bandza
also volunteers with the
Cleveland Clinic Concert
Band, she plays the piano
for the Cleveland Clinic
Taussig Cancer Center High
Tea Hour, and is a Spirit of
Music volunteer at the Metro
Health Medical Center.
Beginning
October 1st, Ms. Bandza will
assume responsibility for
all music at all the Masses
here. She looks forward to
the challenges of developing
a comprehensive unified
music program for the entire
parish and working with
those who would like to
serve as song leaders and
choir members.
I look
forward to introducing her
at all the Masses on the
weekend of October 4-5.
God Bless! Fr. Joe Bacevice
