YOUR EASTER OFFERING
Easter
has been a traditional time for parishioners to make an extra gift to the
Parish, and so we ask everyone to consider a substantial gift to the Parish
this Easter. Our income from parishioner donations continues to decrease
each year and we are facing some expensive repair projects this summer. So
please be generous with your Easter Offering.
ALTAR SOCIETY ANNUAL PLANT SALE
Spring
is just around the corner. Time to start planning your garden and ordering
your flowers and vegetable plants beginning today from the St.
Casimir Altar Society’s Annual Plant Sale. Order forms can be found at all
the entrances to the Church. Take a form home, choose what you wish to
purchase, and return your form by Sunday, April 15th.
Return your order form in the collection basket, mail it to the Church, or
drop it off at the Rectory. Support your parish and beautify your yard. It’s
a win-win.
HONEY CAKE COFFEE SOCIAL
Sunday,
April 8th, everyone is invited to
participate in a family-style Coffee Social after the 10:00 Mass. All parish
families are invited to bring of plate of honey cake or cookies to the lower
hall and to share the Easter season spirit (and your goodies) with your
fellow parishioners.

Today marks the beginning of the most solemn week of the Church year – Holy
Week. During this week we are called to remember and reflect on our Lord Jesus’
days of suffering, death and finally His Resurrection.
All of us are invited to walk with our Lord, from His triumphal entry into
Jerusalem which we remember today, His gift of Himself in the Eucharist at the
Last Supper on Holy Thursday, His trial, suffering and death on Good Friday, to
his Resurrection on Easter.
I invite everyone in the Parish to participate in these special moments in
Jesus’ life. Taking time participate in these events serves to deepen our
appreciation for the gift of salvation, deepen our relationship with our Lord,
and deepen our commitment to be His followers.
God
Bless ! Fr. Joe Bacevice

PLEASE PRAY
We
ask you to remember in your prayers the souls of Timothy Krince, Fenton
Moore, David Golic, Wenceslaus Merkys, and Ivan Marinic who died recently
and were buried from our parish. May they have eternal rest in the peace of
God’s kingdom.
EASTER FLOWER DONATIONS
The
Altar Society relies on your generosity to beautify the church at Easter
with live flowers. Please consider lending them a hand and making a
donation. Use the envelope marked “Easter Flowers” from your church envelope
packet. Thank you.
BLESSING OF FOOD
One
of the most beloved traditions of many Eastern European cultures, including
our own, is the blessing of food for Easter. We have been observing this
tradition since we opened at St. Casimir’s eight years ago, but it seems
that each year fewer people come for the blessing. We invite everyone in the
parish, especially our families with children to experience this annual
blessing. Father Bacevice will conduct the blessing on Holy Saturday,
March 31, at 12:00 noon.
OFFERING FOR THE HOLY LAND
On Good Friday, March
30th, we will take up a collection
to support the Holy Land. Money collected provides support to maintain the
sacred places in the Holy Land and provide for the needy living there.
Please be generous.
