The 2019 Catholic Charities Annual Appeal is underway with the in-pew commitment process taking place this weekend. This is not a special collection; rather, the Catholic Charities Annual Appeal represents the chance for all Catholics to make a significant pledge, payable in installments, to Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland in order to support its mission of a society that stands united in its support of the “least among us.”      Many parishioners have received a letter from Bishop Perez requesting their support. If you have not received this letter, please respond to the in-pew commitment process today! If you have received the mailing, please respond to it and also mark the box on the in-pew envelope to indicate that you have responded by mail.      This year’s theme is WALK IN FAITH. GIVE IN JOY. We thank our Catholic War Veterans Post 613 for making repairs to the flag poles in our front parking lot and replacing the cords with stronger ones that will withstand the elements. We are happy to be able to fly our flags again and thank the Post for their commitment to our parish.

A LENTEN RETREAT FOR YOUNG ADULTS
IN THEIR 20's & 30's

FAMILY PERSPECTIVE

Today’s Gospel places Jesus standing next to the lake when a crowd suddenly appears and presses upon Him. So much for a quiet moment alone! Jesus did not rebuke the people or send him away. All of us have experienced times that we longed for a quiet moment, but family obligations pressed in upon us. Like Jesus, we must not neglect those who depend on us.

 

PANCAKE BREAKFAST
 

Our next Pancake Breakfast will be on Sunday, March 3, from 8:30 to 1:30. Tickets are now available at the main entrance to the Church after the weekend Masses and at the Rectory during the week. Adult tickets are $7, children 10 and younger are free. Save $1 by purchasing your tickets in advance. All proceeds benefit the parish.

 

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
 

Birthright is a pregnancy service that helps pregnant women and new mothers. They are currently seeking volunteers for their Eastside office to answer phones, make up infant layettes and help women find community resources. No experience is necessary and training is provided. LITHUANIAN INDEPENDENCE DAY
 

The 100^th Anniversary year of Lithuanian Independence will conclude the weekend of February 15-16-17.
On Friday, February 15^th, beginning at 7:00pm at the Lithuanian Club Ballroom there will be a concert followed by refreshments and music for dancing. On Saturday, February 16^th, at 2:00pm at the first president of Lithuania, Antanas Smetona’s crypt in the Crucifixion Mausoleum at All Souls Cemetery there will be commemoration ceremony. All are invited.
On Sunday, February 17^th, we will remember Lithuanian Independence at the 10:00 Mass. There will be participation by the students of our Lithuanian Saturday School. We invite everyone to participate at the Mass.

 

REFLECT & REFRESH
 

Exultate choir invites you to a program of music and meditation - REFLECT and REFRESH on Sunday, March 31^st at 12:00 noon at the upper hall of the Lithuanian Club. Tickets are $20 and include lunch.
