Winter storms made it difficult for faith-filled people to respond to this year’s Parish Appeal, so this weekend all parishes are conducting a second in-pew appeal on behalf of Catholic Charities.

Giving to Catholic Charities transforms the lives of people in need and is a tremendous way to respond to the bounty of God’s gifts in our own lives. Won’t you answer the call of our beloved Pope Francis to open your hearts to live joyfully and generously and support the Catholic Charities Annual Appeal?

Gifts can be made by filling out an in-pew pledge form, responding to the letter or telephone solicitation, or by contacting Meghan McGuan at 800-869-6525, ext 1049. In-pew or online gifts at www.catholiccommunity.org/challenge qualify for the $100,000 Challenge Grant – new and increased gifts will be doubled.

May God bless us all with his enduring joy!

                                                               God Bless! Fr. Joe Bacevice

PLEASE PRAY

Please remember in your prayers the soul of Henry Cesna who died in Lithuania and was buried through our Parish. May his soul have Eternal rest in the peace of God’s Kingdom.

POPPIES FOR VETERANS IN NEED

Post 613 of the Catholic War Veterans will be distributing Memorial Poppies at all the Masses this weekend. Proceeds from this goes to fund their programs to benefit Veterans in need, especially those who are hospitalized. Please accept a poppy and make a generous donation to our Catholic War Veterans. Also this weekend, they will be asking for new members. Anyone who has served in the military is eligible to be a member. Please consider joining this year.

CONGRATULATIONS

This weekend, Bishop Lennon ordained four men as priests in our diocese. Congratulations to Father Jeffrey Barnish, Father Joseph Kim (Archdiocese of Daegu, South Korea), Father Jeremy Merzweier, and Father Robert Ramser. May God be with them as they begin a lifetime of service to the people of our diocese.
