NEW CANDLE STANDS - THANK YOU!
Take
a minute to light a vigil candle or stop to pray at one of our shrines and take
notice of our new candle stands. These beautiful candles stands were handcrafted
by Remigijus Belzinskas and match the woodwork in the sanctuary. A heartfelt
thank you to Remigijus for donating the materials and volunteering his time and
talent. You will find the candle offering slot on the upper left side of each
candle stand. Large candles are $3 and small candles are 50˘.
CATHOLIC
COMMUNICATIONS CAMPAIGN
This weekend we are accepting
donations for the Catholic Communications Campaign. Your offerings help
communicate the Gospel through Catholic social media activities and enriches our
faith through podcasts, television, radio and print media. Half of all proceeds
remain in our diocese and support local needs. Please be generous.
PROGRAM BOOK
Again this year, we are printing a program book for our Fall
Fund Raiser. Parishioners, Parish Organizations, and businesses are invited to
advertise or send their greetings showing support for our Parish. An ad can be
placed for as little as $5. Ad forms are in everyone’s ticket envelope and
additional forms are available at the back of the church. Everyone is invited to
participate.
PASTORAL COUNCIL
We
are looking for a few good people to run for a seat on our Pastoral Council.
This year we will elect four members to the Council. Application forms are
available in the Book Room. Applications will be accepted until October 30th.
Any member of the parish, age 16 and older, with a few exceptions, is eligible
to run for a seat on the Pastoral Council. We invite you to seriously consider
serving on this important council in our Parish.
CATHOLIC RADIO:
AM 1260 The Rock, Cleveland’s Catholic radio station invites everyone to three
days of local programming. The upcoming fall Spirit Drive, October 12-14, is an
on-air fund raiser to keep Catholic Radio on the air. To donate, call
216-227-1260.
MINISTRY TO THE INCARCERATED
Many of those who have a loved one or a family member incarcerated experience
isolation, shame, guilt and an overwhelming sense of being alone. The LEAF
Ministry has been formed to support them. Groups meet monthly, offering an
opportunity to those who come to listen and share community, network, and learn
from others who understand their situation, challenges, fears and emotions. All
are welcome to participate irrespective of faith affiliation. Groups meet all
over our diocese. For more information, contact Father Bacevice or visit their
website:
