JOIN THE HOLY NAME SOCIETY

Our Parish Holy Name Society appreciates your support. Each year we sponsor The Giving Tree during the Christmas holidays. We help set up, cook and clean up the Parish Pancake Breakfasts. Every summer we organize and pay for an annual picnic for all parishioners. We also helped initiate and continue to support the evening Eucharistic Adoration on the second Wednesday of the month. Consider becoming an active or supporting member by joining the Holy Name Society. You can use the envelope in the May offering envelope pack. Dues are just $5/year, and we meet the last Wednesday of the month at Hope House. Please join us!

LITHUANIAN CULTURAL GARDENS

The Lithuanian Cultural Gardens Committee cordially invites the Lithuanian Cultural Gardens members and those who would like to join to their annual picnic on Sunday, June 3rd, at 12:00 noon at the Beachland Pavilion at the end of East Park and Dorchester Roads on Lake Erie. New members and supporters are invited to attend.

CATHOLIC CHARITIES

Next weekend, May 19-20, we will be participating in an impor-tant follow-up Parish Appeal for Catholic Charities. Funds to expand treatment and prevention services to fight the opioid crisis that has a grip on our families and friends. In 2017, nearly 1,200 people in our diocese died of drug overdoses. With your help, Catholic Charities will be able to expand their reach and provide help and hope to those suffering from addiction. All gifts returned in the In-Pew envelopes next weekend or donated online at www.Catholic-Community.org/Challenge will be matched up to $100,000. Prayerfully consider the impact you can have and please give as generously as possible. Contact Karen Joyce at 216-696-6525, ext. 1910. Thank you for making a difference.

On Monday, June 4th, Deacon Pecek will celebrate his 35th Anniversary as a Deacon. In those 35 years, his wisdom and kindness has impacted the lives of many people at St. Paul Parish in Euclid, here at St. Casimir, and as a Judge in the Diocesan Tribunal.

We will honor Deacon Lou at the 12:00 noon Mass on Sunday, June 10th, followed by an informal reception in the Rectory. All are invited to celebrate this milestone for Deacon Pecek and thank him for his 35 years of service to the Church.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY

This Sunday, is Mothers Day, the day we honor our mothers. On this day, we remember the prayer of blessing given to new mothers on the day their child is baptized: "God the Father, through his Son, the Virgin Mary’s child, has brought joy to all Christian mothers, as they see the hope of eternal light shine on their children. May he bless (our mothers). They now thank God for the gift of their children. May they be one with their children in thanking God for ever in heaven, in Christ Jesus our Lord."

PLEASE PRAY

We ask you to remember in your prayers the soul of James Fabec who died recently and was buried from our parish. May he have eternal rest in the peace of God’s kingdom.
