November 8 - 9, 2014

With this bulletin we are pleased to present our Parish’s financial report for the period July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014. Along with this report, we are showing the figures from the previous year and budget numbers for the current year.

This report is an accounting of our stewardship of the funds you entrust to us to operate our parish and presents to everyone the financial challenges we face as a Parish Community. We have worked very hard to cut our operating costs and increase our income so we can live within our means.

As the fiscal year was coming to an end, we were just beginning major renovations and had received a$75,000 loan from the diocese to begin this work. The final renovation work will be finished in January with the renovation of our gym. With the beginning of this fiscal year, we are adding a significant amount of rental income which is not reflected in this report.

The Finance Council and I have been working on prioritizing the many additional repairs that will need to be done soon and cost estimates for them. Beginning in January, we will involve the Pastoral Council is this process and hopefully by spring, we will be able to present a list of priorities for repairs and renovations to everyone in the parish along with cost estimates and a plan to raise the funds to accomplish these tasks.

If anyone has any questions about this report, please contact me and I will be glad to answer your questions and discuss any concerns you may have.

                                                        God Bless! Fr. Joe Bacevice

The collection for the Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) provides funding for groups that create lasting change and uplift the poor in the United States. CCHD grants have gone towards advancing education, supporting economic development, and improving housing in low-income neighborhoods. You can participate in this tradition on Nov 22-23. Fight poverty in America. Defend human dignity. Give to the CCHD Collection.

DIOCESAN REVIEW BOARD

The Review Board for the Diocese of Cleveland needs two members: an individual with experience in investigations and a survivor of child sexual abuse who has completed a course of treatment. The Review Board advises the Bishop on keeping children safe from sexual abuse and examines allegations of sexual abuse of minors by clerics.

Consider applying for the Review Board if you have an abiding interest in young people, and are an independent thinker, self motivated, and able to make a significant time commitment. The application deadline is December 1st.

For information on making an application, contact the Board Chair, Patricia Ritzert, (330) 472-2158 with your questions.
