YOUNG CATHOLIC PROFESSIONALS:

The mission of Young Catholic Professionals (YCP) is to encourage young adults working in various professions to “Work in Witness for Christ.” YCP is a national organization, whose members are single and married young adults in their 20's and 30's, who are highly motivated to achieve personal and professional success while seeking a greater understanding of their Catholic faith. Professionals who may not be Catholic, but are interested in learning more about the Catholic faith, are also welcome.

Tuesday, June 12th, 6:00-8:30pm at Magnificat High School (20770 Hilliard Blvd. in Rocky River) YCP Cleveland invites young professionals to join them for their upcoming Executive Speaker Series featuring seasoned professionals sharing how they have embraced the Catholic faith within their careers. For more information on YCP Cleveland, visit their website: www.ycpcleveland.org or email them at: info@ycpcleveland.org

LITHUANIAN CULTURAL GARDENS

The Lithuanian Cultural Gardens Committee cordially invites the Lithuanian Cultural Gardens members and those who would like to join to their annual picnic on Sunday, June 3rd, at 12:00 noon at the East Shore Park Pavilion at the end of East Park and Dorchester Roads on Lake Erie. New members and supporters are invited to attend.

BALTIC COMMEMORATION

On Sunday, June 10th, at 2:00pm, at the Latvian Lutheran Church (corner of Andrews Rd. & Detroit Ave.) in Lakewood, the Baltic American Committee of Cleveland is sponsoring a prayer service to commemorate the 77th anniversary of the occupation of the Baltic States and to remember the victims of the mass deportations of June 13-14, 1941. There will be a social in their church hall after the service. We invite everyone to join with our Lithuanian, Latvian, and Estonian communities for this commemoration.

As the month of June begins, we know that summer is near. Each summer is packed with activities that will keep many people away from the parish on Sundays. This summer many will be traveling to Lithuania for events surrounding the Centennial of Lithuanian Independence and many others will be away from for weeks at a time for summer vacations. I wish everyone a safe and relaxing summer. I also remind you to participate at Mass every Sunday and Holy Day. And when you are away from the Parish on a weekend, PLEASE make up for your missed offerings when you return.

Again, I ask that those who are able to make a generous contribution to our repair fund. We have several projects to complete this summer including masonry work on the Church building and major repair work that needs to be done on the air handling equipment in the Church building. The sooner we raise the money, the quicker we can get the projects completed.

Our goal in all our repair projects is to maintain our buildings and property to provide a safe and inspiring place for worship, for conducting parish business, and providing space for the spiritual and cultural needs of all our members. Together, we can make this happen.

God Bless ! Fr. Joe Bacevice

PLEASE PRAY

We ask you to remember in your prayers the souls of Alex Petraska,  Florence Rome, and Ann Sarley who died recently and were buried from our Parish. May they have eternal rest in the peace of God’s kingdom.

DEACON PECEK

On Monday, June 4th, Deacon Pecek will celebrate his 35th Anniversary as a Deacon. In those 35 years, his wisdom and kindness has impacted the lives of many people at St. Paul Parish in Euclid, here at St. Casimir, and as a Judge in the Diocesan Tribunal. We will honor Deacon Lou at the 12:00 noon Mass on Sunday, June 10th, followed by an informal reception in our lower hall. All are invited to celebrate this milestone for Deacon Pecek and thank him for his 35 years of service to the Church.
