June 1 - 2, 2018 m.

As the month of June begins, we know that summer is near. Each summer is packed with activities that will keep many people away from the parish on Sundays. I do wish everyone have a safe and relaxing summer. I also remind you to participate at Mass every Sunday and Holy Day. Also, when you are away from the Parish on a weekend, PLEASE make up for your missed offerings.

Again, I ask that those who are able to make a generous contribution to our repair fund. We have several projects to complete this summer including masonry work on the Church building. The sooner we raise the money, the quicker we can get the projects completed.

Our goal in all our repair projects is to maintain our buildings and property to provide a safe and inspiring place for worship, for conducting parish business, and providing space for the spiritual and cultural needs of all our members. Together, we can make this happen.

God Bless! Fr. Joe Bacevice

We ask you to remember in your prayers the souls of George Riggan and John Vedegys who were buried from our Parish. May they live forever in the joy of the Resurrection.

All are invited to spend some quiet time in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament on Friday, June 7th, 8:00-9:00am and Wednesday, June 12th, 6:00-7:00pm. Experience the peace that comes with quiet prayer before the Blessed Sacrament.

We welcome into the Catholic Christian Community Leo Christiano Santana, son of Jose Santana and Amberly (nee) Maston. Baby Leo is being baptized at our Church this weekend.

NEXT weekend, Fr. Nicholaus Mtey of the Diocese of Moshi, Tanzania, will be speaking at all the Masses about the needs of his Diocese in Africa. We will also take up a Second Collection to offer our support. We ask you to please be generous.

On Sunday, June 9th, at 2:00pm, here at St. Casimir’s, the Baltic American Committee of Cleveland is sponsoring a prayer service to commemorate the 78th Anniversary of the occupation of the Baltic States and remember the victims of the mass deportations of June 13-14, 1941. After the service there will be a program at the Lithuanian Club. All are invited to join with our Lithuanian, Latvian and Estonian communities for this commemoration.

The Diocesan Holy Name Society is sponsoring a “Men’s Underwear and Sock Drive” to provide these necessity to the homeless in our community. You are invited to participate by making a monetary donation either this weekend or next. Place your donation in an envelope marked “Holy Name Sock Drive” and place it in the collection basket.

The FEST is the perfect family day and it’s all FREE. Pope Francis proclaims “Jesus is a paradigm for the Church.” Throughout the Gospels he shares in the important moments of family life and always shows mercy. May all our families and parishes be rich in mercy like Jesus.
