November 29- 30, 2014

Today marks the beginning of a new Liturgical Year and the beginning of Advent. Advent is the time of year that we are reminded to prepare ourselves for our Lord’s coming.

The Scripture readings of this season tell of the different times in our faith heritage when the people were waiting for deliverance, longing to be with God. As the writers of Scripture reflect on a sinful past, they encourage repentance as a condition for deliverance.

This season reminds us to reflect on our past, make efforts to make things right in our lives and to eagerly wait for our own deliverance. As we look forward to the Coming of the Lord, let us wait with patience, love, repentance and forgiveness.

                                                                                     God Bless! Fr. Joe Bacevice
