PARISH COOKBOOK
We
are pleased to announce that the 3rd Edition of Perpetual Help in
the Kitchen is now available for sale. Our cookbook committee added new
recipes, standardized measurements, and gave it an updated, easy to use look.
When the first edition came out, many thought the book was perfect. When no one
thought it could be improved, the second edition came out. After many years, the
new third edition is now available for sale.
The cookbook is
printed on heavy paper, is color coded by section and is bound in a custom three
ring binder. Cost for this parish exclusive is $25 (cash or check made payable
to St. Casimir Parish). For a small added fee, cookbooks can be mailed. At this
time, they are available only at the rectory. In the coming weeks, they will be
available in the lower hall after the 10:00 Mass, and will be available at our
Clambake in October. Be sure to purchase your cookbook early. There are only 200
available.
OUR PARISH WEBSITE
We
are updating the Parish Organization page on our website. Heads of our
organizations are asked to check the information about their organization on our
website (www.saintcasimirparish.org)
and report any changes, additions, deletions, as well as submit pictures or
additional information to Amanda Muliolis at (amuliolis@gmail.com).
Heads of organizations are asked to visit our website and their page frequently
and update information as often as necessary. This way, everyone in the parish
will know of your activities.

FALL FUND RAISER
Our
Seventh Annual Clambake/Steak Roast/Autumn Raffle will take place on
Saturday, October 21st beginning after the 5:30 Mass in our upper
hall. Raffle tickets are now available at the back of the Church. All
parishioners are asked to pick up their envelope with Raffle tickets, as this
will save us the cost of mailing them to everyone. Dinner tickets
will be available after Labor Day.
We invite everyone to participate in
the fund raiser to support our parish. In addition to great food, there will be
plenty of refreshments, a basket auction, split raffles and much more.
We are also looking for
volunteers to help with this project. Set up, clean up, bakers, and other
volunteer positions need to be filled. Please sign up in the Book Room to help
us out. We look forward to seeing everyone on October 21st.

In June, we announced that the Lithuanian Roman Catholic Priests’ League of
America is commissioning a special cross to be made. It will be blessed and
placed on the Hill of Crosses in Lithuania next summer on July 7, 2018,
commemorating 100 years of Lithuanian freedom. The intention of the cross is
“Thanks and Hope.” All are welcome to attend this ceremony in Lithuania next
year.
We solicited donations for the cross and were able to send $607 toward the
cost of this endeavor. A small replica of this cross is traveling to all the 16
Lithuanian Parishes in the United States this year. We received the cross this
past week and will display it in Church for the next three weeks.
While this cross is on display in the Church, we invite you to offer
prayers, first in thanksgiving for the freedom now enjoyed in Lithuania, and
then in hope for the future security of Lithuania.
God Bless! Fr. Joe Bacevice |

With deep thanks in Christ Jesus,
Most Reverend Daniel E. Thomas
PLEASE PRAY
