THE FEST

Every year after The FEST we receive many emails from individuals telling us how much they enjoyed the annual Catholic Family Festival and how it was the highlight of their summer. Don’t miss out on Sunday, August 5th as we come together for The FEST from 12:00 to 10:00 at the Center for Pastoral Leadership (28700 Euclid Ave, Wickliffe).
Join thousands from around our region for a day of faith, family and great fun. It is all free. Listen to inspiring music, visit activities for kids and displays to help you strengthen your family life and so much more. There is plenty of free close parking. There is plenty of affordable food thanks to Executive Caterers and Marc’s. There is something for everyone at the FEST. The day concludes with a beautiful outdoor Mass at 8:00pm followed by an incredible American Fireworks display. Check out the details online at
www.theFEST.us  Please join us.

NO SUNDAY COFFEE

All are reminded that there will be no coffee hour after the 10:00 Mass during the entire month of July. Coffee will resume in early August.

PLEASE HELP

Birthright is a pregnancy service that helps pregnant woman and new mothers. We are currently seeking volunteers for our Eastside location to answer telephones, make up infant layettes and help women find community resources. No experience is necessary and training is provided. If you are interested in helping us help the women and babies of our community, please call Toni Sabo at 216-486-2800 for more information.

RETROUVAILLE

Has your marriage become unloving or uncaring – your relationship cold, distant – thinking about a separation or divorce? Are you already separated/divorced but both of you want to try again? Then the Retrouvaille program may help. Retrouvaille, which means rediscovery, is supported by the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland, but is open to couples of all faiths. This program consists of a weekend experience for couples and six follow up sessions. The next Retrouvaille weekend is September 14-16. For more information or to register, contact Marc or Liz Gliha at 440-357-6580 or go online to www.helpourmarriage.org

In last week’s bulletin I wrote about my observations of life here at St. Casimir’s parish and the need to plan our future. For a long time, we seemed to ignore what was happening to us and when changes needed to be made, many were upset.

In order to plan our future, the first thing I need to do is listen to you. I want to know your thoughts about the future of our parish. What would you like to see here at the parish? Is the Mass schedule meeting your needs or should we adjust our Mass times? Should we reduce the number of weekend Masses? Should we have spiritual programs for adults? If so, what type of programs? Do you think that we should offer the option for electronic giving in order to give people a more convenient way of financially supporting the parish? What do you think we can do to reach out to bring people back to Church?

I want to hear from you. Write me a note, give me a call, sent me an email, or call and make an appointment to come in to talk. When the Pastoral Council returns in August, I would like to have some information to give them some guidance in making decisions.

Let us all work together to plan our future, rather than react when forced to make an immediate decision.

God Bless ! Fr. Joe Bacevice

 MISSION APPEAL

Those who were not prepared to make a donation to the Marist Missions last weekend will be able to make a donation this weekend. For your convenience, we have “Missionary Appeal” envelopes available at the entrances to the Church.

PICNIC FOR PARISHIONERS

The Holy Name Society is pleased to announce that this year’s Annual Picnic for Parishioners will take place on Wednesday, July 25, from 5-8 pm for the first time at the East Shore Park Club, at the corner of East Park and Dorchester Dr., on the shores of Lake Erie. Hot dogs, burgers, snacks and soft drinks will be served. There is no cost for the picnic as the Holy Name Society underwrites the entire cost. This is a good way to meet fellow parishioners and learn about the Holy Name Society. We look forward to seeing you there.
