Our next Pancake Breakfast will be on Sunday, September 9th, from 8:30am to 1:30pm. Tickets are now available after the weekend Masses at the main entrance to the Church, in the lower hall after the 10:00 Mass and at the Rectory during the week. Adult tickets are $7, children 10 and younger will be free. Save $1 by purchasing your tickets early. All proceeds benefit the parish.

Our Eighth Annual Clambake/Steak Bake/Autumn Raffle will take place on Saturday, October 27th, beginning after the 5:30 Mass in our upper hall. Raffle tickets are now available at the back of the Church. All parishioners are asked to pick up their envelope with Raffle tickets, as this will save us the cost of mailing them to everyone.
This year we are using a new caterer and are able to lower the prices and improve the quality of our food. In addition to great food, there will be plenty of refreshments, a basket auction, split raffles, and much more. Dinner tickets will be available after Labor Day.
We invite everyone to participate in this fund raiser to support our parish. We are also looking for volunteers to help with this project. Set up, clean up, bakers, and other volunteer positions need to be filled. Please sign up in the Book Room to help us out. We look forward to seeing everyone on October 27th.

The Diocesan Ministry to the Incarcerated needs your help. They have been distributing zip-lock bags filled with helpful items for those who are indigent and incarcerated. Items can be purchased through the prison commissary, but many inmates do not have the funds to do so. The following items are needed: shampoo and conditioner (travel size), bar soap, body wash, lotion, packets of tissue and white socks for men and women. If you would like to donate these items, contact Father Bacevice or Laura at the rectory office.

Would you like to learn more about our Bishop? Tune in to AM 1260 The Rock on September 13th at 5:00pm for the third episode of Table Talk with Bishop Nelson Perez. Join host Dick Russ for a one-hour conversation with Bishop Perez including questions submitted by you. What would you like to ask Bishop Perez if he was sitting at your kitchen table? Submit your questions to: by August 23rd. For an audio archive of previous episodes, visit

Where has summer gone? Last week, many of our children returned to school and more will return this week. In two weeks, we will celebrate Labor Day. The days are getting shorter and the weather is finally cooling down. Our Parish organizations will soon begin their programs after a summer break. For many in the Parish, it is time to say farewell to summer and look forward to all the activities that will occupy their time until next June.

As we begin new activities this fall, it is a good time to re-commit ourselves to our Parish. Since we became St. Casimir Parish nearly nine years ago, our goal was to unite the Lithuanian community into one Church and open our doors to welcome others who want to be a part of our unique multi-cultural, ethnic community. The Sunday Eucharist is the center of our lives as Christian Catholics, and from this center, we branch out to provide ministries to bring us closer together and meet our needs.

I personally invite all of you to re-commit yourself to your Faith and to our Parish. Bring your joys and sorrows, your cares and concerns and place them before our Lord in the Eucharist. From there, let us together find happiness, contentment and fulfillment as we journey toward a closer union with our Lord.

God Bless ! Fr. Joe Bacevice

Please remember in your prayers the souls of Rose Perko and Robert Ronald who died and were buried through our parish. May they have eternal rest in the peace of God’s kingdom.

Imagine the impact you can have when you give a deserving student a Catholic Education. Next weekend, a special parish appeal - the Faith and Values Appeal for Education - will be held to raise funds to help provide tuition assistance to needy students and their families right here in our own diocese. Please be generous in your support of Catholic school students. Envelopes for this special appeal are included with your parish envelopes. You can also make a secure donation online at or call Karen Joyce at 216-696-6525, ext. 1910.
