It is with sadness that I announce the death of Deacon Louis
Pecek. He had been in failing health for quite some time. Deacon
Pecek served the Church well as a deacon for 37 years, the last ten
in retirement here at St. Casimir’s. He was so active and full of
energy, no one would have thought he was retired. He was a great
help to me when we first opened the St. Casimir, he worked with me
planning Masses, especially the Holy Week and Easter services. He
was an excellent preacher, a kind counselor, an outstanding teacher
and a good friend to many. He will be missed by many.
His funeral will be here at St. Casimir’s on Saturday, November
2nd, at 11:00am. Visitation is at Jakubs Funeral Home on
Friday, November 1st, from 2-7pm. We extend our
sympathies to his wife Mary Ann, his son Robert, his daughters
Margaret, Victoria, Katherine, and their families. May he have
eternal rest in the peace of God’s Kingdom.
God Bless! Fr. Joe Bacevice |

PRIESTHOOD SUNDAY
This
Sunday, October 27th Catholics will celebrate Priesthood
Sunday, a day set aside to celebrate the importance of the gift of
priesthood in the life of the Church and for us to reflect on the ministry
that our priests share with us - when we gather at the Table of the Lord,
and when we call on them in our times of need. Consider sharing a personal
note or a card of thanks with them.
We pray
that our young people will be inspired by the ministry and witness of our
priests and that their hearts will be open to hear and respond to God’s
call. More information on priesthood can
be found at
www.clevelandcatholic-priesthood.com

important Parish advisory body.
THANK

Father Bacevice. We also encourage all parishioners to consider our
electronic giving method and to set up your reoccurring offertory gifts
electronically.
