Saint
Casimir Parish
December 19 - 20, 2015
On Friday,
Christmas Day, we celebrate
the birth of our Savior. For
most of us, this day will be
filled with tradition,
remembering our own
childhood and of marveling
at the wonder we see in the
eyes of the children in our
own families. But more than
tradition, Christmas is a
celebration of life – our
own lives, the lives we are
living today. The message of
the angels – “Today a
savior has been born to
you...” reminds all of
us of God’s presence in our
own lives.
May the Peace and Joy
that this great Feast
signifies, be with you this
Christmas Day and every day
of your lives. In the name
of all our employees, our
pastoral staff, and the
volunteers who do so much
for our Parish, I wish all
of you a very Holy and
Peaceful Christmas.
God Bless! Fr. Joe Bacevice
HELP DECORATE THE
CHURCH FOR CHRISTMAS
Sunday,
December 21st, after the 12:00 Mass,
(at about 12:45pm) we invite you to come help decorate the
Church for Christmas. Many hands make light work. We hope to
see you there!
GIVING TREE THANK YOU
The Holy Name Society thanks
everyone who contributed to make our Giving Tree a
success. A total of $2,490.00 in gift cards and cash was
donated. With this, we were able to help 15 families in our
parish and provide food and clothing help to particularly
needy people in our neighborhood served by the ministry of
the Sisters of Notre Dame through our convent. God Bless
You!
CHRISTMAS FLOWERS
The
Altar Society relies on your generosity to make the fresh
flower purchases for Christmas. Please consider a donation
and use the “Christmas flowers” envelope from your packet.
CHRISTMAS WAFERS and CALENDARS
Christmas Wafers are available at the main
entrance to the Church at Mass times, in the lower hall
after the 10:00 Mass and at the Rectory during the week. Our
2016 Church Calendars are also available in the main lobby
of the Church. We thank our friends and fellow parishioners
at Jakubs Funeral Home for providing them.

YOUR
CHRISTMAS OFFERING
Christmas
is a traditional time for people to make an extra offering
to the Church. As you consider your Christmas offering to
Saint Casimir’s, I ask you to consider the place our Parish
has in your heart. For most, our Parish is more than just a
place to go to Church on Sundays. It is where we go in times
of joy and grief, in times of hope and despair, and in times
of healing. We all know that winter is the most expensive
time of the year and as a parish, we face many
challenges. So we ask that everyone make an extra effort to
give a substantial offering this Christmas, because it is
only because of your generous support that we can continue
our work. Thank you.
CHRISTMAS COOKIE COFFEE SOCIAL
Sunday,
December 27, everyone is invited to participate in a
family-style Coffee Social after the 10:00 Mass. All parish
families are invited to bring a plate of Christmas cookies
to the lower hall. It will be an opportunity to share the
Christmas spirit (and your goodies) with your fellow
parishioners.
COFFEE SCHEDULE
We
are organizing the After-Mass Coffee schedule for
2016. All organizations and parish families are invited
to continue in participating and hosting these coffee
socials. New participants are also invited to sign up for
2016. Families, friends, cohorts – get a group together and
volunteer to host an after-Mass coffee at least once a year.
The parish provides the coffee and supplies, you need only
to bring the baked goods, to put on the coffee, and then be
the good host J. To volunteer, please contact any of the
following by December 18: Dalia Armonas:
