     Merry Christmas to all.

Tuesday we celebrate the birth of our Savior. For most of us, this day will be filled with tradition, remembering our own childhood and marveling at the wonder we see in the eyes of the children in our own families. But more than tradition, Christmas is a celebration of life - our own lives, the lives we are living today. The message of he angels – “Today a savior has been born to you...” reminds all of us of God’s presence in our lives.

May the Peace and Joy that this great Feast signifies be with you this Christmas Day and every day of your lives. In the name of our staff, employees and volunteers who do so much for us, I wish all of you a very Holy and Peaceful Christmas.

God Bless ! Fr. Joe Bacevice

REMEMBER IN YOUR PRAYERS

We ask you to remember in our prayers the soul of Lukas Balys who died recently and was buried from our Parish. May he be at peace forever in the blessedness of heaven.

HELP DECORATE THE CHURCH FOR CHRISTMAS

Lend a hand and help decorate the church for Christmas. Church decorating is Sunday, December 23 at 1:00pm.

OFFICES CLOSED

Following the example of the central administration of our Diocese, beginning this weekend, our parish business office will be closed until Monday, January 7th. Our Mass schedule and other planned activities remain the same.

YOUR CHRISTMAS OFFERING

Christmas is a traditional time for people to make an extra offering to the Church. As you consider your Christmas offering to Saint Casimir’s, I ask you to consider the place our Parish has in your heart. For most, our Parish is more than just a place to go to Church on Sundays. It is where we go in times of joy and grief, in times of hope and despair, and in times of healing. We all know that winter is the most expensive time of the year and as a parish, we face many challenges. So we ask that everyone make an extra effort to give a substantial offering this Christmas, because it is only because of your generous support that we can continue our work. We thank you.

GIVING TREE THANK YOU

Our Holy Name Society thanks everyone who contributed to make our Giving Tree a success. A total of $2,995.00 in gift cards and cash was donated and we were able to help 20 families (55 people) in our parish with food and gift cards. God Bless You!

CHRISTMAS WAFERS and 2019 CALENDARS

Traditional Christmas Wafers are available at the main entrance to the Church at Mass times, in the lower hall after the 10:00 Mass and at the Rectory during the week. Please use the special envelopes provided; the suggested donation for each wafer is $1.

Our 2019 Church calendars are available on the tables in the main lobby of the Church. We thank our friends and fellow parishioners at the Jakubs Funeral Home for providing them again this year.

CHRISTMAS COFFEE SOCIAL

Next Sunday, December 30, everyone is invited to participate in a family-style Coffee Social after the 10:00 Mass. All are invited to bring a plate of Christmas cookies to the cafeteria. It will be an opportunity to share the Christmas spirit (and your goodies) with your fellow parishioners.

NEW YEAR’S MASSES

Tuesday, January 1st, is the Feast of Mary, Mother of God, a holy day of obligation. Masses to fulfill this obligation will be celebrated on Monday, December 31st at 5:30pm (English) and Tuesday morning, January 1, at 11:00am (bi-lingual).

THE PERFECT GIFT

Looking for the perfect gift for your family and friends? Invite them to join you on Sunday, August 4, 2019, for the FEST, the 19th Annual Catholic Family Festival held in Wickliffe, Ohio. It is truly the perfect family day with great national Christian artists, activities and displays for the whole family and concludes with an outdoor Mass.

Looking for something extraordinary to do this summer? The FEST is looking for interns to join the team that puts together this great event. For information or to apply, email your resume to: Caitlin@theFEST.us by January 10, 2019.
